Event Update 6/22:
Directions are updated - upon entering the park - follow the prominent control bags along the roads to the registration area.
Put your running shoes on, wear some shorts, and enjoy breezing around a fun family park with landscaping befitting a good orienteering experience.
Course Statistics:
1. Trail - 2.0 km, 9 checkpoints
2. Sprint - 3.1 km, 13 checkpoints, with a Butterfly Loop.
The partner loop will be available too, and the sprint course has the terrain intervals. Any course or course segment can be done as a memory.
Climb is minimal.

Practice your quick decision making and control checkpoint picking with a sprint course; then try a "partner" sprint loop where each of you has a map with half of the controls. You can also do terrain intervals and a memory course. Courses open 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., cost is $5, social option to follow nearby. Downtown Los Gatos?
Directions:
The entrance to Vasona Lake Park is located on Blossom Hill Road in Los Gatos. From southbound Highway 17, exit at Lark Avenue, follow signs for Los Gatos Blvd., and turn left on Lark Ave. Turn right on Los Gatos Boulevard and right again onto Blossom Hill Road. After about 1/2 a mile, the park entrance is a right turn at 333 Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos, CA 95032. You'll need to pay a machine $6 to get a parking pass; then follow the streamers / control bags to the parking area near registration.
Public Transit:
From the Winchester Transit Center (end stop of the light rail line,) take the VTA 48 bus line towards downtown Los Gatos. Get off at Santa Cruz Ave. and Mariposa, walk east along Blossom Hill Road, then turn left and walk into the park.
